Nalgonda: BJP state president N. Ramchander Rao on Thursday made it clear that the party would not enter into any alliance with other political parties for the upcoming municipal elections.
Addressing a media conference at Bhongir while en route to Warangal, he said the BJP would contest the municipal elections independently by fielding its own candidates across urban local bodies. He said the party was prepared to demonstrate its strength in urban areas through the elections.
Expressing confidence, Rao said the BJP would secure the highest number of municipalities in the polls. He added that a state-level committee would be constituted to finalise candidates for municipal councillor and corporator posts.
