HYDERABAD: Home minister Rajnath Singh and BJP president and Union health minister J.P. Nadda reached out to state BJP chief N. Ramchander Rao on Thursday to assess the flood situation and assure Central support. Both leaders pledged to send additional personnel and essential relief materials as required, stressing seamless coordination with state agencies to strengthen rescue and relief operations.
Ramchander Rao convened a teleconference with senior leaders and booth-level functionaries, directing them to mobilise on the ground, remain accessible to the public, and work with disaster management teams. He instructed party cadres to organise grassroots relief — distributing food, drinking water, and transport facilities, especially in submerged and remote areas. He also urged the BJP youth wing (BJYM) and corporators to intensify involvement without delay.
