Nalgonda: Munugode Congress MLA Komatireddy Raj Reddy on Tuesday faulted the reasons given by the high command for not giving him a Cabinet berth. “Who is creating the hurdles,” he asked and questioned why the equations that the party was working on were not helping him.

“There are three ministers from (erstwhile) Khammam district, where the Congress has nine MLAs. What is wrong if (undivided) Nalgonda district, with 11 Congress MLAs, has three ministers,” he asked

He asked whether the Congress high command did not know his brother Venkat Reddy was a senior leader when it promised him (Raj Gopal Reddy) a Cabinet post. The high command had promised a Cabinet post a second time during the Lok Sabha elections, he claimed. The Congress utilised his services during the elections and neglected him later, Raj Gopal Reddy alleged.

Raj Gopal Reddy was speaking after inaugurating a `20-lakh gram panchayat building at Yelagalagudem of Munugoder mandal in Nalgonda district, along with MLC Nellikaanti Satyam.

The MLA said he would stand any injustice done to him personally but had zero tolerance if the interests of the people of his Munugode constituency were affected. He said that single rupee should not be stopped to Munugode in the sanctioning funds for development.

He said that the poor people should get quality health services when they go to government hospitals. Private hospitals and schools were looting people, he alleged. He said he would every post he held to ensure the welfare of the poor.
