Hyderabad: The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (TGBIE) is set to launch online sessions in government junior colleges under the Project SERVE initiative. The programme, introduced as a pilot, commenced on Wednesday in two junior colleges in Hyderabad.

In collaboration with the Ek Step Foundation, Project SERVE aims to enhance the quality of education in all government junior and vocational colleges through digital platforms. The pilot phase is being implemented at Government Vocational Junior College, Nampally, and Government Junior College, Chanchalguda.

TGBIE director S. Krishna Aditya stated, “The initiative aims to tackle challenges such as faculty shortages, skill gaps, and high dropout rates in colleges.” He further explained that digital platforms will be leveraged to broadcast lessons, providing support to colleges with limited staff.

During Wednesday’s session, Project SERVE coordinator Gopala Subramaniyam, along with Vara Prasad, an expert in communication skills, led the session. Vara Prasad focused on imparting effective communication and interview skills to students from both colleges. He emphasised the importance of motivation, discipline, dedication, body language, and confidence in achieving success.
