Priyanka’s Body Handed Over to Family After Autopsy in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The body of a medical student K Priyanak was handed over to her family members here on Monday.
The doctors at Gandhi hospital performed an autopsy and handed over the body. The family members shifted the body to the native place in Gadwal district to perform last rites. The student was injured critically in a hit-and-run accident in Rajamahendravaram.
The accident occurred outside a shopping mall in Rajamahendravaram on Thursday after a car allegedly hit a motorcycle carrying two postgraduate medical students, Priyanka and Umesh, before speeding away.
She was initially taken to a hospital in Rajamahendravam before being shifted to their facility in Hyderabad for further evaluation and management.
Priyanka died without responding to treatment at 3:32 pm on Sunday.
Priyanka sustained a severe head injury and died while Umesh suffered minor injuries.
