Principals’ Conference Concludes With Focus On Academic Excellence, Holistic Development

Hyderabad: The three-day annual regional principals’ conference of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS), Hyderabad Region, concluded here on Friday.
The conference, held from May 21 to 23 witnessed a series of insightful and fruitful deliberations aimed at reinforcing academic standards, enhancing co-curricular engagements, and streamlining administrative protocols.
For the last three days, Principals from across the region engaged in extensive discussions and planning sessions focused on strategies to improve both qualitative and quantitative academic outcomes were extensively discussed. Emphasis was laid on innovative teaching practices, performance tracking, and remedial interventions.
Detailed plans were formulated for cluster and regional-level sports events, cultural programs, and integration meets aimed at nurturing students’ holistic development. A detailed exposition on the Central Civil Services (CCS) rules, particularly focusing on procedures for dealing with disciplinary cases was also presented.
The session emphasized the importance of uniformity, transparency, and adherence to due process in all administrative and disciplinary actions across the region. The procedures to be followed in cases of POSCO, sexual harassment in work places etc., were also highlighted.
Best practices in auditing and accounting procedures, enhancing financial transparency and accountability across institutions were also discussed.
During valedictory address, T. Gopalakrishna, Deputy Commissioner, NVS Hyderabad Region, emphasized the urgent need to fill all 80 seats in Class XI through lateral entry and making concerted efforts to attract eligible and meritorious students. The importance of sustaining the legacy and performance of Hyderabad region in academics, discipline, and sports was also underlined.
Timely processing of retirement benefits for employees, with a call for early initiation of procedures to ensure hassle-free settlements. A strong appeal to prioritize the safety and security of students within all campuses was also discussed.
