Hyderabad: The Minorities Welfare Department here on Saturday placed Baghlingampally Minorities Gurukul School Principal Vanisri and staff nurse Shanthi Kumari under suspension in connection with the poisoning incident.
The services of the Deputy Warden Syeda Yashmin Nishad were terminated with immediate effect, confirmed Hyderabad Minorities Welfare Officer Mohammed Ilyas Ahmed here on Saturday.

As many as 341 students were studying in the school. Of them, 27 students from the school developed severe stomach ache, motions and vomiting after eating dal rice with curd on Thursday night. The staff rushed 16 students to the King Koti hospital while 11 of them were to Niloufer hospital.
Ahmed said 14 students were discharged from the King Koti hospital on Saturday while the doctors kept the remaining students under observation for one more day. The students might be discharged from the hospital either on Sunday or Monday.
Senior officials instructed the staff to take necessary steps to ensure that such incidents would not reoccur in future.
