Ponguleti Dares KCR to Discuss Telangana's Progress in Assembly

Hyderabad: Revenue minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy on Sunday challenged former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao to come to the Assembly to discuss development activities being taken place by the Congress government.
Hours after Chandrashekar Rao spoke at the BRS silver jubilee meeting, Srinivas Reddy responded stating that it would have been better if Rao had mentioned his mistakes during his tenure.
Srinivas Reddy challenged the former chief minister to fix the date to discuss all issues in the Assembly. “KCR did not make a Dalit the Chief Minister. He could have at least given the Leader of Opposition status to a Dalit,” Srinivas Reddy noted. “KCR is spreading false propaganda that the Congress government is not providing welfare schemes and is looting the treasury.”
"Contractors have dues and arrears during the BRS rule. Sarpanches in villages face tough times after the then BRS government completely neglected the panchayats for not providing funds. In the public meeting, KCR spewed venom on the Congress government which has taken up a number of people's welfare schemes in Telangana. KCR made the rich Telangana state poor by looting money. The Congress formed Telangana keeping in view of people's sentiments," the minister said.
Srinivas Reddy said that Rao had praised AICC leader Sonia Gandhi for forming Telangana state but was critical of the Congress government in Telangana. “We thought that KCR will share his knowledge of reading 80,000 books in the Assembly and he will suggest it to us. But it did not happen. During the BRS party's ten years of rule, the former chief minister neglected the people and their issues,” Srinivas Reddy alleged.
