Police Issue LOC Against Moizuddin Conspirators
We have formed additional teams and intensified investigation to trace the accused.
Hyderabad: City police have decided to issue a Look Out Circular (LOC) against Khaja Moizuddin’s murder conspirators Mujahid Alam Khan and Mahbub Alam Khan on the 58th day after the crime.
The decision to issue a LOC and release a cash award with photographs was taken by city police commissioner V.C. Sajjanar after a review meeting with zonal heads, investigation teams and other senior officials at TGICCC on Monday.
Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, Sajjanar said, “The fugitives have no place to hide from Hyderabad police. We have formed additional teams and intensified investigation to trace the accused. After a review meeting with our officials we have taken a stern decision to issue a LOC with the pictures of the absconders and announce a cash reward on them. I sternly warn the absconders Hassan Chaus and Mohammed Muneer to surrender before the police or face dire consequences as per the law.”
He added that city police always maintained and will continue to maintain transparency in investigation. “There will be no mercy on criminals. We treat criminals equally as per the rule book, regardless of their background. Mahbub and his son Mujahid will be treated as prime conspirators. I have instructed the investigation officers to file a fool‑proof chargesheet and assure the victim’s family members and citizens that justice will be done for the loss they suffered,” Sajjanar said.
Sajjanar further informed that Mujahid and Mahabub’s arms licence will soon be cancelled as per the Arms Licence Act.
Special teams are probing all angles. Hassan and Muneer are believed to have played a crucial role in Moizuddin’s murder, a police officer said.
Investigators, apart from examining the Waqf‑related angle, are also probing deer poaching and are inquiring into self‑declarations given by conspirators Mujahid, Mahbub and Hassan, who also holds a telescopic hunting rifle.
One of Mahbub’s workers said, “I have seen top BRS politicians, some forest officials and businessmen every week eating deer meat in the form of kababs, biryani and grilled dishes. Mahabub Alam has a special elderly woman cook who prepares royal food. She cooks deer and other prohibited animals’ meat on Mahbub’s instructions and serves it during weekends.”
It may be recalled that Moizuddin was murdered on May 23 at 5.45 am outside his house in Vijaynagar Colony. Conspirators Mujahid Alam Khan and his father Mahbub Alam Khan confessed their role in executing the murder using hired killers through Hassan and Muneer, police sources disclosed.
Leaving Hassan and Muneer at large poses a serious life threat to Moizuddin’s son M.S. Farhan and his family members, who were directly threatened by Mujahid, Hassan and others before the murder.
Meanwhile, Farhan once again urged cancellation of Mujahid’s and Hassan’s arms licence, stating that Hassan is a notorious man and remains at large, posing a severe threat to his life.
Mujahid Alam Khan, his father Mahbub Alam Khan, Abhit, Vikram, Vinay Kishan Singh, Santosh and Deen Dayal have been arrested so far. Special teams have been formed to arrest Hassan and Muneer. Their photographs have been circulated to police stations and forest officials across the state. “Very soon they will be behind bars,” a police officer disclosed.
