Police Impose Traffic Restrictions at Malakpet in View of Elevated Corridor Works
Hyderabad Traffic Joint Commissioner of Police D Joel Davis urged the citizens to make note of the diversions and take alternate routes to reach their destinations
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Traffic Police have announced diversions and alternative routes in view of the construction of the Comprehensive Development of the Elevated Corridor from Malakpet Fire Station to Yadagiri Theatre. The diversions will come into force from Thursday and will remain in place for approximately 60 days.
Road closure: One side from Saidabad Y junction towards Dobhighat on the road stretch between Saidabad Y junction and I.S. Sadan junction will remain closed. Commuters have to avoid the stretch from the Nalgonda crossroads to Owaisi Hospital (DMRL junction) due to possible congestion.
Diversions and alternative routes: Traffic from the Nalgonda crossroads towards Saidabad Y junction, heading towards Santoshnagar and I.S. Sadan will be diverted via Saidabad Y junction, DCP South East Zone Office, Saidabad Law & Order Police Station, Saraswathinagar Kaman, Sankeshwar Bazaar, Indian Oil Petrol Bunk, Singareni Colony, Onus Robotic Hospital, Champapet Main Road, and Champapet crossroads. This route is permitted for four-wheelers, RTC buses, and heavy goods vehicles.
Two- and three-wheelers from Chanchalguda towards Saidabad Y junction, proceeding to I.S. Sadan, will be diverted at Saidabad Y junction via Saidabad L&O Police Station, 105 Bus Stop, Ramalayam Kaman, Laxminagar, Biscuit Factory, Dhobi Ghat junction, and then to I.S. Sadan main road.
Two- and three-wheelers from Chanchalguda towards Champapet will be diverted via Saidabad Y junction, Saidabad L&O Police Station, 105 Bus Stop, Ramalayam Kaman, Laxminagar, Vinaynagar, and Bharath Garden towards I.S. Sadan and Champapet main road.
RTC buses from Chaderghat towards I.S. Sadan and Champapet will be diverted at Nalgonda crossroads via Malakpet Gunj, Moosarambagh crossroads, Gaddiannaram U-Turn, Gaddiannaram crossroads, Shiva Ganga Theatre, Hanifiya Mosque (Saroornagar Lake), Indian Oil Petrol Bunk, Singareni Colony, Onus Hospital, and Champapet main road.
District RTC buses and heavy vehicles from MGBS and Chaderghat towards I.S. Sadan and Champapet will be diverted at Nalgonda crossroads via Malakpet Gunj, Moosarambagh, Dilsukhnagar, Kothapet, and LB Nagar Chowrasta.
