Pick Up Free Clay Ganesh Idols at These Locations in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) announced that it will distribute 1,00,000 eco-friendly clay Ganesh idols free of cost this year to promote the concept of “Eco Ganesha” and discourage the use of Plaster of Paris (PoP) idols, which harm the environment.
Since 2017, HMDA has been encouraging citizens to adopt clay idols, as their immersion does not affect water quality. Continuing the initiative, the idols will be distributed at 34 locations across Hyderabad between August 24 and August 26, 2025, in association with NGOs.
