HYDERABAD: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao on Saturday said the people of Telangana were increasingly getting convinced that “Congress must go, KCR should return.”

Addressing a meeting of party leaders and workers from the Sanathnagar Assembly constituency that was organised by MLA Talasani Srinivas Yadav to discuss BRS’ preparations for the special intensive revision (SIR) of electoral roll, Rama Rao said: “the SIR has been used so far by the BJP in other states to filter out voters who may not vote for it, especially those who support regional parties.”

He called on party workers to ensure that no eligible voter loses his or her voting right because of the SIR process.

Rama Rao also said that the BJP in Telangana existed only on social media and not among people. “However, BRS leaders and workers must be vigilant to keep not just the BJP, but also Congress from manipulating the voters lists in their favour,” Rama Rao said. He added that the party will continue to organise training sessions on the SIR and how BRS workers at the booth level can assist citizens.
