Hyderabad: A three-day Power Exhibition showcasing Telangana’s power-sector reforms, safety initiatives and smart-grid technologies will be held from Saturday at People’s Plaza on Necklace Road, featuring 16 thematic stalls with slogans on free power schemes, smart metering, renewable energy and disaster management.

TGSPDCL chairman and managing director Jitesh V. Patil, accompanied by projects and IT director V. Shivaji, on Friday evening reviewed and inspected the arrangements at the venue, examining the set-up of display stalls, visitor facilities, power supply arrangements, security measures, parking facilities, entry gates, stage construction, digital displays and awareness centres.

The exhibition aims to highlight the technological, administrative and consumer-service reforms undertaken in the state’s power sector over the past decade, while creating awareness about transparency, safety measures and efforts to ensure uninterrupted power supply throughout the year, Patil said.

Stalls include “Welcome to Power World”, “Power Utilities: The Backbone of Development”, “Free Power, Empowering Every Eligible Consumer”, “Innovation Today, Smarter Power Tomorrow”, “SCADA, DMS & 1912 — Smarter Response, Better Service”, “Smart Meters, Transparent Bills, Better Service”, “Safety First, Every Connection, Every Day”, and “Harness the Sun, Power the Future”, among others covering network infrastructure, IT initiatives and first-aid awareness.

Models of substations, transformers, solar power, battery storage and EV charging technologies, along with demonstrations of power ambulances, fault-management systems and real-time monitoring mechanisms, will be displayed, with exclusive visits for schoolchildren and an hourly quiz at the stalls.

Patil said the exhibition had been designed and organised entirely by TGSPDCL officials and staff, and invited students, researchers, families and people from across the State to visit the event, directing officials to complete all facilities ahead of the inauguration.
