Hyderabad:More than one in five electors in Hyderabad district has been tagged as absentee, shifted or dead (ASD), and the number is expected to rise further, according to data from the ongoing special intensive revision (SIR) of the electoral roll.
Of the 47.36 lakh electors in 15 Assembly constituencies, the ECI has digitised 12.08 lakh (57.56 per cent) of voter enumeration forms. Overall, 9.5 lakh voters — 21.01 per cent — have been declared ASD.
The Jubilee Hills Assembly constituency recorded the highest number of ASD electors at 88,933, followed by Musheerabad at 84,917 and Yakutpura at 84,792.
According to the Hyderabad District Election Authority, enumeration forms have been distributed to all 47.36 lakh voters, including 4.91 lakh (10.37 per cent) who submitted their forms online. The last date to submit forms is August 10.
