One-Week Sankranti Holidays for Schools in Telangana

Hyderabad: Schools across Telangana will get a week-long holiday for the Sankranti festival this year. The School Education Department had earlier announced five days of holidays from January 11 to January 15. However, the state government has now declared January 14 as Bhogi, January 15 as Sankranti, and January 16 as Kanuma.

As January 10 falls on the second Saturday, the previously announced holidays will be reviewed. Following this, holidays will be observed from January 10 to January 16. Schools will reopen on Saturday, January 17. Education Department officials said an official notification will be issued soon.
