One Dead, another Missing during Ganesh Immersion in Karimnagar

Karimnagar: One person died and another person went missing during the Ganesh immersion in the erstwhile Karimnagar district.
According to police, a native of Kothapeta, Yendapalli mandal of Jagtial district, Koppula Rajashekhar(23) was electrocuted at a Ganesh pandal late on Wednesday night.
He came in contact with a live electric wire while adjusting the cable supplying power to sound system with a stick and died on the spot.
In another incident, a teenager Thandra Rudra (15) went missing in the water while immersion Ganesh idol in a canal near Malkapur, Kothapalli mandal in the outskirts of Karimnagar town.
A native of Baddipalli of Kothapalli mandal, Rudra went to canal for Ganesh immersion along with his father Anjaiah. While immersing idol, he accidentally slipped into water and washed away.
Knowing about the incident, police rushed to the spot and launched search operation.
