Division Bench has chosen not to interfere with interim orders issued by a single judge.

Hyderabad: A Telangana High Court Division Bench has chosen not to interfere with interim orders issued by a single judge concerning Bhoodan land reportedly acquired by a group of civil servants.

The Division Bench directed the civil servants involved – Ravi Gupta, Mahesh Bhagwat, Shikha Goel, Sowmya Mishra, Tarun Joshi, and Rahul Hegde, who had filed petitions in the matter – to file an application to vacate the stay with the single judge.
The single judge's earlier order had placed the land on the prohibited list. This case stems from land located in Nagaram village, Maheshwaram mandal, Rangareddy district, specifically Survey No. 194, where several IPS officers are reported to have purchased plots.

A petition was filed in the High Court alleging that these lands rightfully belong to the Bhoodan Yagna Board and that significant irregularities occurred during their acquisition.

In a significant ruling, a single judge bench headed by Justice Bhaskar Reddy had earlier declared these lands, belonging to 27 officials, as Bhoodan land and ordered their inclusion in the prohibitory list, preventing any further transactions.

Subsequently, some of the involved IPS officers challenged this single judge order by filing an appeal before the Division Bench of the High Court, leading to the directive for them to approach the original single judge for relief.
