No Delay in Development Works, Warns Seethakka

Kamareddy: Minister for women and child welfare Dhanasari Anasuya Seethakka took strong exception to delays in developmental works in Kamareddy district, despite funds being released over six months ago. Expressing displeasure over the slow pace of implementation, she warned officials that negligence would not be tolerated under any circumstances.
She directed that all projects must be completed within their scheduled timelines and warned that strict disciplinary action would be taken against any department responsible for delays.
Seethakka, along with Government Advisor Mohammed Ali Shabbir, held a detailed review meeting with officials at the Kamareddy Integrated District Offices Complex (DIOC) on Tuesday. The meeting focused on the progress of various government-led development initiatives.
The minister announced that the construction of new Anganwadi buildings would begin shortly. Reiterating the Congress government's commitment to strengthening women and child welfare, she said the government would give increased attention to schemes in this sector.
She also sought detailed reports on all sanctioned projects, including tender status, fund utilization, and reasons for delays. Officials were instructed to clear all pending bills immediately and ensure that no work is held up due to administrative hurdles. She emphasized that officers must take personal responsibility for progress in their departments, and warned that any further lapses would attract serious action.
Addressing the officials, Shabbir Ali stressed the urgent need for proactive steps to prevent seasonal diseases such as dengue and other viral infections during the ongoing monsoon. He instructed medical and municipal departments to regularly clean and purify drinking water tanks and ensure that drainage systems are cleared without delay. To curb mosquito breeding, he directed that fumigation and mosquito-control measures be undertaken in vulnerable areas.
