Nims Receives BLS Ambulance worth Rs 30 Lakh
The ambulance was donated by their children, Prakash Shenoy, Usha Mallya, Aneesha Shenoy and Dr Pragya Ranganath, in memory of their parents.
HYDERABAD: The Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (Nims) has received a basic life support (BLS) ambulance worth Rs 30 lakh as a donation from the family of the late Bantwal Laxman Shenoy and Shantha Shenoy on Saturday.
The ambulance was donated by their children, Prakash Shenoy, Usha Mallya, Aneesha Shenoy and Dr Pragya Ranganath, in memory of their parents.
The ambulance is equipped with advanced emergency medical equipment and life-saving facilities required to provide immediate care to critically ill patients during emergencies.
Speaking on the occasion, Nims director Prof. Rahul Devaraj said that the support extended is invaluable in strengthening public healthcare services.
He noted that such contributions not only enhance the hospital’s emergency response capabilities but also help ensure timely, quality medical care for patients during critical situations. He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Shenoy family for their generous donation and commitment to public service.
The event was attended by Nims dean Prof. P. Chandrasekhar, executive registrar Prof. Param Jyothi, head of surgical oncology department Prof. R. Ranganath, head of medical genetics department Dr Pragya Ranganath, assistant medical superintendents Dr Rakesh and Dr Charan, media relations officer Satya Goud, members of the Shenoy family, doctors, hospital officials and Nims staff.
