Nims Launches Mechanised Cleaning System
The Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences has launched mechanised cleaning services using modern equipment to improve sanitation across the hospital.
The Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (Nims) has formally launched housekeeping, facility management and mechanised cleaning services managed by Quality Property Management Services Private Limited (QPMS), which has deployed new cleaning equipment across the hospital premises.
The services began on July 1, while Nims director Dr Rahul Devraj formally inaugurated them during a puja ceremony on Thursday.
QPMS has provided floor-scrubbing machines, walk-behind scrubbers, high-pressure jet machines and wet-and-dry vacuum cleaners. Hospital officials said the equipment would be used to maintain the premises according to scientific cleaning standards.
“Cleanliness is given the highest priority at the hospital,” Dr Devraj said. Mechanised cleaning systems would help provide a safer and cleaner environment for patients, attendants, doctors and staff, he added. Nims remained committed to providing quality services, he said.
Executive registrar Paranjyoti, medical superintendent Dr Nimma Satyanarayana, administration department head Dr Lakshmi Bhaskar, additional medical superintendent Dr Krishna Reddy, assistant medical superintendent Dr Salman and media relations officer Satya Goud attended the programme.
QPMS project head for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Manish Kumar, company representatives, Vidyasagar, supervisors Ramu and Ravi, and other staff members also attended.
