Adilabad police established a library at Devulnaik Thanda in Sonala mandal on Tuesday as part of their community policing initiative to help youth and children gain knowledge and prepare for various examinations, including competitive tests.

Inaugurating the library, Adilabad SP Akhil Mahajan said the facility was established to create an environment within the village for youngsters to prepare for competitive examinations. He said rural youth could also excel in such tests if provided with the necessary facilities and a conducive learning environment.

The library would benefit youngsters from six neighbouring villages, he added. The SP said libraries had earlier been established at Lokari and Chinchughat villages in Adilabad district as part of the initiative. Adilabad DSP Jeevan Reddy, Boath CI D. Guruswamy, SI V.
