Nepal Floods: Telangana Sets Up Helpline
He urged the Centre to take all possible measures to rescue Indians stranded in Nepal.
Hyderabad:Telangana has set up a special helpline and coordination centre at Telangana Bhavan in New Delhi to assist families unable to contact relatives from the State who may be stranded in Nepal amid reports of widespread flooding and hundreds of people missing.
Health Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha expressed concern over the situation and prayed for the safety of those affected by the floods. He urged the Centre to take all possible measures to rescue Indians stranded in Nepal.
The minister said families in Telangana who are unable to establish contact with pilgrims, tourists or other persons from the State in Nepal could approach the Telangana Bhavan helpline for assistance and coordination.
