NAARM Launches Fcoars Retreat to Revamp Agriculture Research Curriculum
The institution could contribute towards realizing the vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047 through service to farmers.
Hyderabad: As part of its golden jubilee celebrations of National Academy of Agricultural Research Mamagement (NAARM) launched the Fcoars (Foundation Course for Agricultural Research Service) Retreat on Friday. The retreat aims to gather suggestions from Fcoars veterans for improving the the curriculum, design, and duration.
“The rich experiences of veteran agricultural scientists should be documented and shared with younger scientists for the greater benefit of the agriculture sector,” said Dr Yashpal Singh Malik, DDG, agricultural education, ICAR.
Dr R. Meenakshi Sundaram, director, NAARM, said that learning from the rich experiences of veteran leaders and policy experts in agricultural research management would enable NAARM to nurture future-ready leaders in agricultural science. Through such leadership, he said, the institution could contribute towards realizing the vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047 through service to farmers.
