Muslims Build Shed for Goddess Temple
Act hailed as symbol of city’s Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb

Hyderabad: Mohammed Yousuf Khan, a businessman, erected a shed for the Sri Sri Prasanna Mahankali Ammavari Devalayam at Kothapet, earning widespread appreciation for following Hyderabad’s famed ‘Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb’.
The fabrication and erection work was carried out by a team of five Muslim employees.
Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, Ranjeet Singh, a devotee, said, "This gesture reflected the city’s pluralistic ethos and the spirit of unity that transcends religious boundaries."
The temple committee and devotees felicitated Yousuf Khan. His contribution was lauded as a reaffirmation of India’s secular values and Hyderabad’s long-standing tradition of harmony and coexistence.
