More Rain in Store for Telangana
According to weather trackers, very heavy rainfall is expected in Sircilla, Kamareddy, Siddipet, Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Nirmal, Jagitial, Adilabad and Asifabad districts.
A depression over Telangana triggered widespread heavy rainfall across the state on Sunday, bringing intense downpours to several northern and central districts.
According to weather trackers, very heavy rainfall is expected in Sircilla, Kamareddy, Siddipet, Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Nirmal, Jagitial, Adilabad and Asifabad districts. Wargal in Siddipet registered the state’s highest rainfall of 235.8 mm, while Medak, Kamareddy, Yadadri–Bhongir and Medchal also witnessed pounding showers.
Moderate to heavy rains will lash Mancherial, Peddapalli, Bhupalapally, Mulugu, Warangal, Hanmakonda and Sangareddy, while Hyderabad and adjoining districts such as Medchal–Malkajgiri, Vikarabad and Rangareddy will receive light to moderate spells.
In Hyderabad, residents woke up to persistent light showers with intermittent moderate spells, creating a misty atmosphere across the city.
According to Telangana Weatherman, the rainfall activity is likely to continue for the next 24 hours, with northern Telangana districts expected to receive further heavy to very heavy showers.
