Modi’s Praise for RSS an Insult to Freedom Struggle, Says Owaisi
“Why did Modi, as the Prime Minister, praise RSS from the Red Fort,” Asaduddin Owaisi asked.
Hyderabad: Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi on Friday criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for glorifying the RSS in an Independence Day speech and called it an insult to the freedom struggle. “The RSS and its allies and activists never joined the fight for independence and hated (Mahatma) Gandhi more than they ever opposed the British,” Asaduddin said.
In his social media account ‘X’, Asaduddin said, “Modi has once again reminded us why it is necessary to learn real history and honour the real heroes. If we don't, the day isn’t far when cowardice will be sold to us as the highest form of bravery. The RSS rejects the values of inclusive nationalism that motivated our freedom fighters.”
