Modi to Launch Rs.7,823‑cr Projects in Telangana
Ahead of Modi’s visit, BJP’s Telangana leadership has launched a high‑octane campaign, including wall‑writing drives in Tarnaka, poster campaigns and door‑to‑door outreach to ensure a turnout of over two lakh people.
Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is scheduled to visit Telangana on May 10, will launch development projects worth ₹7,823 crore virtually. The event, to be held at Hitech City prior to the grand public meeting in Secunderabad, will also be attended by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.
According to party leaders, Modi will arrive at Begumpet Airport from Bengaluru at 4 pm on Sunday via a special flight. From there, he will launch the projects virtually at the Hitech City event, though the official schedule from the PMO is still awaited. At the public meeting at Parade Grounds, the Prime Minister is likely to speak for about 45 minutes starting at 5 pm.
In view of BRS MLA Ch. Malla Reddy’s recent invite requesting him to inaugurate the Artificial Intelligence University in the city, the Prime Minister may inaugurate it virtually instead of attending in person.
Ahead of Modi’s visit, BJP’s Telangana leadership has launched a high‑octane campaign, including wall‑writing drives in Tarnaka, poster campaigns and door‑to‑door outreach to ensure a turnout of over two lakh people.
The public meeting has become a highly prestigious event for the BJP, being Modi’s first visit during his third term as Prime Minister. Towards making it a grand success, leaders have focused specifically on crowd mobilisation. BJP state president N. Ramchander Rao is meeting party dignitaries, district and mandal leaders to provide instructions. Each mandal committee has been tasked with mobilising 800 people, while each division must bring 300.
As part of preparations, a review meeting was held at the party head office on Wednesday. MPs Eatala Rajender, D.K. Aruna, Raghunandan Rao, Dharmapuri Arvind, BJLP Aleti Maheshwar Reddy, MLCs A.V.N. Reddy, Anji Reddy and others participated.
Party sources said the Prime Minister’s primary target in his speech will be Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, whom the BJP leadership accuses of playing a key role in blocking the Delimitation Reservation bills in the Lok Sabha. Modi is also expected to criticise the BRS party.
