KARIMNAGAR: Choppadandi MLA Medipally Satyam has urged Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to allocate sufficient funds for the development of Sri Anjaneya Swamy temple, commonly referred to as the Kondagattu temple, a prominent pilgrimage site in northern Telangana.
The MLA met the Chief Minister at his residence in Hyderabad on Tuesday and presented a memorandum, requesting financial support for the Kondagattu temple and additional projects in the constituency.
The MLA also urged the Chief Minister to release funds for the completion of outstanding works related to the Narayanapur project, which is a crucial water source for both drinking and irrigation needs of the residents of the Choppadandi constituency.
During their discussions, Medipally Satyam reminded the Chief Minister that the previous BRS government had vowed to allocate `500 crore for the development of the Kondagattu temple but failed to release funds, thus betraying the Hanuman devotees and the people of Telangana.
He said the previous government completely overlooked the temple’s development and did not release funds despite numerous appeals from temple priests and Hanuman devotees.
The MLA mentioned that the Chief Minister responded favourably and assured that the present government would provide necessary funds for the development of the Choppadandi Assembly constituency.
