Hyderabad: MioPods.Space has launched private work pods at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA), Hyderabad, offering passengers individual spaces for work, calls and short meetings during transit.

The first phase includes four pods installed near boarding gates 9 and 10. Users can access the pods through a QR-based booking system.

The pods are designed for short-duration use and include seating, charging ports, lighting, ventilation and sound insulation.

Founded by Vikas Sethia, MioPods.Space is positioning the service for business travellers and professionals using airport waiting time for work. "MioPods was built around the idea that travel time can also become productive time,” he said.

The service allows both instant bookings and advance reservations up to seven days ahead. Pricing has been fixed at Rs 299, including GST, for 30 minutes.

According to the company, more than 2,000 travellers scanned the QR codes during initial trials at Hyderabad Airport.

MioPods said it is also in discussions with airports in Delhi and Mumbai for expansion. The company plans to deploy 100 MioPods during the current financial year.
