Surekha Invites Revanth to Maha Shivaratri Celebrations

Invitations extended for Vemulawada and Keesaragutta Maha Shivaratri festivals and Brahmotsavams-2026.

The delegation included temple Executive Officer Ramadevi and temple archakas, who presented the invitation and briefed the Chief Minister on the arrangements being made for the grand festival.

Karimnagar: Endowments minister Konda Surekha, along with endowments commissioner Harish, on Tuesday invited Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to attend the upcoming Maha Shivaratri Jatara scheduled to be held from February 14 to 17 at the historic Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy Temple in Rajanna Sircilla district.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister was formally presented with the invitation and prasadam by temple priests and officials.
Surekha briefed the Chief Minister on the arrangements being made for the large number of devotees expected to visit the temple, popularly known as ‘Dakshina Kashi’. She said the state government was committed to ensuring smooth darshan and adequate facilities for pilgrims during the Jatara.
Revanth Reddy reviewed the progress of ongoing temple expansion and development works and sought details on infrastructure upgrades aimed at enhancing capacity and pilgrim amenities. Temple executive officer L Ramadevi briefed him on the status of the works and special arrangements planned for the festival.
The Maha Shivaratri Jatara at Vemulawada is one of the largest religious congregations in the region, drawing devotees from across Telangana and neighbouring Maharashtra and Karnataka.
