Karimnagar: Union minister of state for home affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar criticised TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud for alleging that the Telangana BJP MPs were elected with the help of fake votes. Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, Sanjay challenged the Congress government to prove the claims of fake votes. “Since Congress is in power in Telangana, it should immediately release the list of fake votes and write a letter to the Election Commission to remove them. After that, it must dissolve the assembly and face new elections. If Congress wins again, then I will leave politics. Is the Congress ready for this?” he asked.

Sanjay stated that Mahesh Kumar’s claim that his victory was due to fake votes is an insult to the people of Karimnagar, who had elected him by a massive majority of 2.25 lakh votes. “The TPCC chief does not know what he is saying. Had he ever won even once as a ward member or any other representative, he would have understood how the voting process works,” he pointed out.

“Mahesh Kumar is acting like a Ghajini. One day, he says that I am a Backward Class leader and that is why the BJP removed me as state president. Now, he is calling me Deshmukh. He doesn’t even understand what he is saying,” Sanjay criticised. He accused the Congress government of failing to provide funds to local village panchayats. If any party has not given a single rupee to panchayats in 20 months, it is the Congress. It is the Central government that has been releasing funds periodically. Local body elections are about to be conducted by the Congress only to claim Central funds, not out of any sincerity, Sanjay said.

He also criticised the Congress for attempting to extend BC reservations to Muslims and for making efforts to defeat a BC leader contesting for a high position such as Vice-President. “Hundreds of bogus votes exist in minority households, and everyone knows which party benefits from minority votes. Yet even with such bogus votes, the Congress could not win,” Sanjay pointed out.

The Union minister of state further alleged that Congress only cares about minorities for votes and gives them trips to Mecca, while ignoring Hindu festivals and devotees. Sanjay proudly stated that his victory was due to Hindu votes and the BJP would continue to work for Hindu dharma. He accused both the previous BRS and present Congress governments of giving voter cards and homes to illegal Rohingya immigrants for political benefits. The law and order is a state subject. At the same time, the Central government is taking all measures to stop illegal immigration from other countries. Congress begs for votes and acts like they are religious only during election time, but the BJP will always fight for Hindu society and its values, he stated.

Later, Sanjay distributed bicycles to the 10th class students of government schools as part of the Modi’s Gift’ initiative in Rajanna Sircilla district.
