Migrant Labourer Killed, 23 Injured in Bus-Auto Crash
All the injured were shifted to the Vemulawada area hospital in 108 ambulances
Karimnagar: A migrant labourer was killed and 23 others were injured when a TGSTC bus hit their autorickshaw near Anupuram on the outskirts of Vemulawada in Rajanna Sircilla district, police said on Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Vasudev, 35. The condition of four injured labourers was stated to be serious.
Police said the labourers, natives of Chandrapur district in Maharashtra, had migrated to Sircilla for agricultural work and were staying at Jeggaraopalli in Boinpalli mandal. They were returning from Laxmapur in Thangallapalli mandal after paddy transplantation when the accident occurred.
All the injured were shifted to the Vemulawada area hospital in 108 ambulances. Two of the seriously injured, Archana and Ranji Prabhakar, were shifted to MGM Hospital in Warangal.
Vemulawada MLA Adi Srinivas, superintendent of police Mahesh B. Gite and district medical and health officer Engela Alfred visited the hospital and enquired about the condition of the injured.
