Midnight Drama at Minister Konda Surekha’s Residence

According to sources, the police reached the minister’s residence based on information that Sumanth was present there. Upon noticing unknown persons entering the premises, Surekha’s daughter Sushmitha came downstairs and questioned them. The officers identified themselves as police and said they had come to take Sumanth into custody. However, Sushmitha refused to let them in.

Amid the tense exchange, Minister Surekha and Sumanth left the house together in a car, avoiding immediate police action.

Later, speaking to reporters, Sushmitha accused senior Congress leaders of orchestrating a conspiracy to malign their family. She alleged that while party leaders talk about giving importance to BCs, they were, in reality, trying to suppress them.

Sushmitha claimed that women police were brought under the pretext of arresting her mother, using Sumanth as a pretext. “Our OSD Sumanth was removed from his post yesterday. They say he threatened an employee of Deccan Cements in Huzurnagar, the constituency of Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy, by pointing a gun and demanding money. When we asked CM’s advisor Ven Narender Reddy, he said Uttam had lodged a complaint with the IGP. But when we asked Uttam, he denied making any complaint. So who filed it?” she questioned.

She further alleged that Ven Narender Reddy, Kadiyam Srihari, and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy were behind the developments. “The plan is to arrest my father after forcing Sumanth to write a statement against him. They’ve already withdrawn my father’s gunmen. Why were security personnel removed for a former Maoist like my father, Konda Murali?” she asked.

The episode has created a stir in political circles, with sharp accusations of conspiracy and misuse of power flying between leaders.
