NALGONDA: The Mahatma Gandhi University’s (MGU) department of business management and Telangana Skills and Academic Training (T-SAT) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to expand online educational opportunities through online certificate programmes.

The MoU was signed at the university by MGU Vice Chancellor Prof. Khaja Altaf Hussain and T-SAT CEO Bodanapally Venugopal Reddy.

Prof. Hussain stated that the partnership would significantly enhance the reach and effectiveness of the educational opportunities offered by the university. The newly launching online courses would particularly benefit the youth from rural and resource-constrained regions as well as individuals seeking improvement of their professional skills. He suggested that the programme should be designed with high-quality content and practical training modules to improve employability and career prospects.

Bodanapally Reddy said T-SAT’s primary objective is to make quality education accessible through online learning platforms that are developed to benefit students and learners, who may otherwise be deprived of educational opportunities due to financial limitations. He stated that T-SAT is committed to developing specialized certificate programs aligned with current market requirements, helping students enhance their employability skills and professional competencies.

Building on the successful experience of conducting digital classes in tourism management, the department of business management is now planning to introduce specialized certificate courses in tourism management and logistics management. The department’s training modules, which include live lectures, recorded lessons, assignments, and workshops, have already received an encouraging response from students.
