Warangal: Endowments minister Konda Surekha on Monday said the success of SSC and Intermediate students reflected the district’s academic progress and the government’s commitment to supporting meritorious youth. She was speaking at the ‘Young Achievers’ felicitation programme organised by the education department under the ‘Praja Palana–Pragathi Pranalika’ initiative at a private function hall in Warangal.

The minister presented awards to students who scored above 550 marks in SSC and over 980 marks in Intermediate examinations.

A special segment of the event honoured young chess player Shriyansh Muralikrishna Patel for setting two world records at an early age. He was presented a memento by the dignitaries.

Addressing the gathering, Konda Surekha called for discipline and focus among students and cautioned against distractions from social media. “Success is the outcome of the collective efforts of students, parents and teachers. Students should strive to realise the dreams their parents have cherished for them,” she said.

Warangal MP Kadiyam Kavya urged students to adopt the principle of giving back to society. She said education should contribute to community welfare and support for economically weaker sections. The MP also asked teachers to work towards achieving 100 per cent results in government schools in the next academic year and called on officials to identify and support students facing financial constraints.

KUDA chairman Enagala Venkatram Reddy said students would play a key role in nation building and noted the state government’s focus on strengthening the education sector under Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.

District collector Satya Sharada Devi, assistant collector Sandhya Rani and education department officials attended the programme.
