HYDERABAD: The traffic police outpost on Tank Bund was ransacked around 15 days ago, but the damaged glass and broken chairs have still not been cleared, or replaced in the prime tourist area. The onus of maintaining the Tank Bund stretch lies with the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA), which has remained silent on the matter.
According to the Domalguda police, the person who damaged the outpost was mentally challenged and no case was booked against him.
“We caught him after a couple of days after analysing CCTV camera footage. The person being mentally challenged, we sent him to the Institute of Mental Health at Erragadda,” an official from Domalguda police station said.
