Meeting Convened with Adivasis of Interior Areas to Resolve Their Problems Ahead of the Chief Minister’s Visit
Villagers raised concerns over drinking water scarcity, lack of road connectivity, absence of Rai centre buildings, drainage problems and electricity issues.
Adilabad:A meeting was held with Adivasis of interior villages in Indravelli mandal of Adilabad district on Saturday ahead of the proposed visit of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to Heerapur.
Khanapur MLA Vedma Bojju and former Adilabad MP Soyam Bapurao interacted with villagers of Heerapur and nearby habitations to assess their issues, with the Chief Minister’s visit expected in the first week of May.
Rai centre heads (Sarmedis) from around 20 villages, along with community leaders including Sarmedi Kursenga Motiram and Pendore Amruth Rao, and Raj Gond Seva Samiti convenor also participated in the meeting.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA Vedma Bojju said the Chief Minister is committed to the welfare and development of Adivasis and expressed hope that the visit would help address the pending issues of interior areas.
Former MP Soyam Bapurao said Heerapur and surrounding villages would witness developmental progress with the Chief Minister’s visit. He recalled that Revanth Reddy had earlier visited Heerapur in 2021 and expressed interest in revisiting the region.
He added that they would soon coordinate with the Chief Minister’s office to finalise the visit schedule. Heerapur sarpanch Todasam Laxmi Bai felicitated the leaders on the occasion.
