Sanga Reddy: AICC Telangana in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan said that under the leadership of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Telangana has become a role model for the entire country. She noted that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has been citing the "Telangana model" across the nation. Describing the Congress as a democratic and compassionate party, she said it is steadily progressing.
Meenakshi Natarajan, along with TPCC president B. Mahesh Kumar Goud, participated in the Janahitha Padayatra on its second day on Friday in Rangareddy and Sangareddy districts. Ministers C. Damodar Rajanarsimha, Ponnam Prabhakar, MP Suresh Shetkar, TPCC working president T. Jayaprakash Jagga Reddy, and other senior leaders were also present.
In Rangareddy district, Meenakshi Natarajan, Mahesh Kumar Goud, and other leaders participated in a Shrama Danam programme at the girls’ residential school in Parigi. They later addressed a united Congress meeting of the erstwhile Rangareddy district. In Sangareddy, District Congress Committee president and TSIIC chairperson T. Nirmala Jagga Reddy welcomed the party leaders.
Speaking on the occasion, Meenakshi Natarajan said there is a significant difference between the ideologies of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the Congress. She alleged that the RSS promotes a selfish mindset, while the Congress stands for love and compassion. She further stated that the BJP’s version of the Constitution symbolises corruption, whereas the Congress’s vision is rooted in people-centric values.
Meenakshi also noted that Telangana has become a role model in conducting caste census. TPCC president B. Mahesh Kumar Goud announced that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Rahul Gandhi will participate in the padayatras. “We will continue the Janahitha Padayatras for the next three years to engage with the public,” he said, expressing confidence that the Congress party will win 100 MLA seats in the next elections.
Meanwhile, the Congress Janapada Yatra is set to reach Nizamabad district on Saturday. In the Armoor Assembly constituency, the padayatra will be held from Aloor village to the old bus stand in Armoor. Leaders from other political parties are expected to join the Congress on the occasion. Armoor Assembly constituency in-charge P. Vinay Kumar Reddy is mobilising the public and party cadre for the event.
