A virtual meeting was convened on Monday evening to discuss the roadmap for this ambitious project.

Key areas under this project include AI-enabled government and citizen services, generative AI-powered search functionality for government websites, conversational chatbots and AI search tools to assist government employees, and AI-based classification systems for citizen enquiries. Additionally, blockchain-enabled verifiable credentials for government-to-citizen (G2C) services, AI-driven tender evaluation systems, smart parking management using AI, and optimisation of solid waste management through AI-powered solutions are planned.

Other initiatives involve automated form-filling for public applications, real-time tracking of public buses via Google Maps, and the development of AI-driven models for road safety and traffic management.

In the healthcare domain, Google Cloud APIs will be used for FHIR-compliant electronic health records and the deployment of citywide health analytics platforms. Further innovations include AI for the detection and prevention of vector-borne diseases, AI-based monitoring of lake dumping and construction and demolition waste, and “Manya”, an AI assistant to support ASHA workers.

Once tested successfully, these AI tools will be scaled citywide, with the aim of making Hyderabad a national model for smart and tech-powered urban living. The virtual meeting was attended by MA&UD secretary Ilambarthi, GHMC commissioner R.V. Karnan, IT additional commissioner Anuraag Jayanthi, and senior representatives from Google.
