Jagtial: In a shocking incident, a 32-year-old man was murdered by two sisters for allegedly blackmailing them and ruining a marriage proposal by showing obscene videos. The incident occurred around midnight on Friday in Jagtial district.
According to Jagtial Rural Police, the victim, Burra Mahender (32), a resident of Turkalamaddikunta village in Peddapalli district, was working as a medical representative in Hyderabad. During his stay there, he developed an acquaintance with a young woman employed as a software professional, which later turned into an illicit relationship. Mahender also allegedly developed a similar relationship with her elder sister.
Recently, when a marriage proposal came for the younger woman, Mahender allegedly used obscene videos stored on his mobile phone to sabotage the alliance and continued to blackmail her. Enraged by his actions, the two sisters reportedly hatched a plan to eliminate him.
As per the plan, the woman called Mahender on Friday and asked him to come to her sister’s village. When he arrived, an argument broke out around 10 pm. During the confrontation, Mahender was allegedly attacked after chilli powder was thrown into his eyes. He was beaten with sticks by the two sisters, along with the elder sister’s son, a relative, and another person.
Mahender collapsed in a pool of blood in front of the house with severe head injuries. Locals rushed him to the Jagtial Government Hospital in a 108 ambulance, where he succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.
