Man Involved In Bike Theft Cases Killed In Chandrayangutta

Hyderabad: A 26-year-old driver was found murdered in an isolated place near a nala at Omer Colony in Chandrayangutta on Friday morning.
The incident came to light after locals noticed the body and alerted the Chandrayangutta Inspector R Gopi, who rushed to the spot and took up investigation.
Speaking to media persons, Chandrayangutta Assistant Commissioner of Police, A Sudhakar, said that unknown persons killed the driver Aziz Akthar by slitting his neck elsewhere and later dumped the body at the isolated place near the nala on Thursday night.
He said Akthar was involved in bike theft cases and added that a suspect sheet was also opened against him. He said the reasons behind the murder were yet to be known and a detailed investigation was on following a complaint from Akthar’s father Babar.
The police handed over the body to family members after an autopsy at the Osmania General Hospital (OGH) mortuary.
