Man Involved in 9 Thefts at Secunderabad Station Held
The accused misused his professional earnings in online cricket betting and consuming alcohol, prompting him to commit thefts
Hyderabad: The Secunderabad Government Railway Police (GRP) along with RPF staff arrested a habitual offender who committed nine thefts in Secunderabad.
The accused has been identified as Limba alias Limba Rathod (27) of DV Colony in Krishna Nagar and native of Karnataka. Limba misused his professional earnings in online cricket betting and consuming alcohol, leading him to commit thefts for easy money.
He targeted train passengers, exploiting crowded stations and negligent passengers. He committed multiple thefts under limits of RPS Secunderabad. The police caught him while moving under suspicious circumstances on platform four at Secunderabad railway station.
Upon interrogation, he confessed to have committed thefts. The police recovered gold ornaments weighing 63 grams, worth Rs.9.45 lakh from Limba, according to Secunderabad Division Deputy Superintendent of Police, Railways, N Jawed.
