Man Dies as Car Rams into Static Vehicle on NH-65
Choutuppal police registered a case and launched an investigation. Inspector of police G. Manmadha Kumar said further inquiry is underway to ascertain the circumstances leading to the fatal accident.
Hyderabad: A 35-year-old man died after the car he was driving rammed into a stationary mini-truck on National Highway-65 near Koylagudem bridge under Choutuppal police station limits.
He was identified as Banothu Mallesh, a resident of Badhya Thanda in Chivvemla mandal of Suryapet district. Police said that Mallesh was returning to Suryapet after dropping passengers at Jubilee Hills in Hyderabad in the car that was hired for transport services.
While travelling on the highway, his vehicle allegedly crashed into a mini-truck which was parked on the road due to breakdown. Police said the vehicle, having a registration number of Andhra Pradesh, reportedly had a mechanical snag and was stationed on the roadside without any proper warnings.
The impact of the collision was so severe that Mahesh died on the spot. Local authorities rushed to the scene and shifted the body to Choutuppal Government Hospital for postmortem examination.
