CM Revanth: Telangana Rising Global Summit Will Highlight Cong Govt's Achievements In 2-yrs, Showcase Future Plans

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has set twin tasks for officials as they prepare the ground for the Telangana Rising Global Summit on December 8 and 9 at Bharat Future City. He said the two-day global summit should demonstrate work of the Congress government in its two years in office and also project its vision to make Telangana a $3 trillion economy by 2047.

To highlight the work of the Congress government, Revanth Reddy instructed the officials to set up a giant stage at Future City and display the achievements. The summit should be held as an international-level festival to impress the global investors and visitors, the Chief Minister asserted.

On the second day, the government will release the Telangana Rising 2047 vision document, which embodies the vision and future plans for the state. Round table meetings are being held to showcase the industrial policy and priority given to investments to the world. Revanth Reddy directed officials to prepare audio-video presentations and presentations to attract the global investors.

At a special meeting with Chief Minister’s Office officials on Saturday, Revanth Reddy reviewed the arrangements being made for the summit. Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao, special chief secretary Jayesh Ranjan, CMO principal secretary V. Seshadri and other CMO officials participated in this meeting.

The officials were directed to invite prominent people from India and abroad and renowned industrialists from all fields to the summit. All guests and invitees should be provided with adequate accommodation facilities and foolproof security.

Revanth Reddy said that there should be no shortcomings in the arrangements and all departments should coordinate to make the global event a big success.

The CM stressed that all departments should play an active role in promoting Telangana as a state heading to have a $3 trillion economy by 2047. The CM said that the officials should also set goals and conduct an in-depth study on each issue included in the Vision Document.

Revanth Reddy said that he will hold review meetings with all the departments concerned from November 25 on the issues which are being included in the vision document, which sets the direction for the development of Telangana state and the living standards of the people. The CM said he will also hold another review meeting with the key sectors which are involved in development.

Along with the arrangements for organising the Global Summit, a special review will also be held mainly on the progress of the two years and the role of the respective departments in Telangana Rising 2047.

The draft Telangana Rising Document 2047 has been prepared by seeking views, suggestions and recommendations of the experts from all fields. The Chief Minister said that the vision document will be finalised by incorporating the valuable suggestions and specific recommendations made in the reviews with the officials of various departments.
