Make Huzurnagar a Model Constituency, Uttam Tells New Sarpanches
The minister urged the sarpanches to fulfill their responsibilities as the first citizens of the villages and ensure that development and welfare schemes reach the people.
Nalgonda: Irrigation minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy on Saturday called upon the newly elected sarpanches to discharge their duties responsibly and transform the Huzurnagar constituency into a model constituency in the state.
He felicitated the newly elected sarpanches and ward members of the Congress at a programme held at Koundinya Function Hall in Huzurnagar.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister said the people had reposed faith in Congress‑backed candidates during the panchayat elections and voted them to victory. He urged the sarpanches and ward members to uphold that confidence by addressing village issues and bringing them to the notice of the state government.
He reminded the gathering that the state government had sanctioned various development works and taken up lift irrigation schemes to transform the Huzurnagar Assembly constituency. Chief Minister Anumula Revanth Reddy had also launched the supply of fine rice to ration card holders from Huzurnagar.
The minister urged the sarpanches to fulfill their responsibilities as the first citizens of the villages and ensure that development and welfare schemes reach the people.
