Hyderabad: Two major fire incidents occurred in the early hours of Thursday, damaging property worth several lakhs but causing no casualties.

Around 4.34 am, a blaze erupted at the Super Fine Furniture and Timber Depot in Madannapet, destroying wooden logs and other materials. Over 60 firefighters from Moghalpura, Gowliguda, Musheerabad, and Chandrayangutta stations battled the flames and brought the situation under control by 11.30 am. Police suspect an electrical short circuit sparked the fire.

In a separate incident, a disposal shop selling puja articles at Monda Market was completely gutted after a fire broke out around the same time. Though the shop was reduced to ashes, no injuries were reported. Fire officials believe a short circuit likely caused the blaze. Both Madannapet and Monda Market police have registered cases and are investigating.
