Maitri Committee Member Stabbed in Golconda

Hyderabad: A Maitri committee member was stabbed by a rival gang in Sadathnagar under Golconda police station limits late on Saturday night.

Police said Mohammed Raheem, a resident of Golconda Khila, was waylaid by two persons, Ismail and Taher alias Shanna, who stabbed him in the abdomen and neck.

He is admitted to Osmania General Hospital in a critical condition.

“My brother Raheem was attacked over personal disputes.

I urge the police to take stern action against the accused,” said his brother Nadeem.

Police have taken Shanna into custody and are making efforts to arrest Ismail, who is absconding.
