Mahesh Babu Seeks More Time From ED
The ED had asked Mahesh Babu to appear before it on April 28
Hyderabad: Actor Mahesh Babu on Sunday sought more time to appear before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for questioning in connection with his transactions with Sai Surya Developers and Surana Group, which allegedly cheated people by selling plots in unauthorised layouts. The ED had asked Mahesh Babu to appear before it on April 28.
In his reply, Mahesh Babu sought more time as he was abroad attending a regular shooting for a film. The ED is likely to serve another notice asking the actor seeking his appearance.
Sai Surya Developers and Surana Group paid `5 crore to the actor for an advertisement to promote their brand. It was also reported that these companies reportedly paid a part of this amont by cheque and a part in cash.
Earlier, the ED had conducted raids on Sai Surya Developers and Surana Group for alleged irregularities in their business activities.
