LiDAR Survey For SLBC Tunnel: Uttam

Nalgonda:Irrigation minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy on Saturday announced that a LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) and electromagnetic survey would be conducted over a 44-km stretch of the SLBC tunnel using a helicopter hired from Denmark. He emphasised that the SLBC tunnel project would be completed using the latest global technology.

After inspecting the Aitipamula lift irrigation scheme in Nalgonda district, the minister held a review meeting and confirmed that work on the SLBC tunnel would be resumed and completed during the Congress government's current term. He recalled that construction was halted after a partial roof collapse in the tunnel.
