License of EatClub in Ghatkesar Suspended for Food Safety Violations

Hyderabad: The food safety officers inspected the central kitchen of EatClub Brands Pvt. Ltd in Ghatkesar supplying food to outlets operating under brands such as Box8 and MOJO Pizza and detected multiple violations.

The officials found poor sanitation, improper storage of raw meat, eggs, vegetarian and non-vegetarian products, inadequate temperature-controlled transportation of food and multiple labelling violations on packed food products.

Cockroach, housefly and rodent infestation and synthetic food colors were found while the breakfast sugar used in preparation of food articles was found to be labelled as “Pharmaceutical Grade”

Bare-hand food handling and unhygienic food preparation was noticed apart from improper licensing categories and inadequate food safety records. The license has been suspended and Food articles found in violation of the Food Safety and Standards Regulations were seized, officials said.

They added that further action has been initiated under the Food Safety and Standards Act-2006.
